You can visit a small village in the hills, a glacial lake in the Dolomites, or beautiful big cities like Rome and Florence. Italy is a country you need to visit at least once in your life!

It is the kind of country that leaves you speechless and that you want to revisit again and again. Italy has so much to offer if you like epic landscapes, architecture, art, and food! Also, it is a safe country and it is perfect for a family, couple or solo trip! Read on!

1. Rome

The first one is Rome! This city is a must to see in Italy. Not only the capital of the country, but this city also has so much to offer. If you like art, architecture, and sculptures, you will not be disappointed.

2. Cinque Terre

Cinque Terre is a beautiful region located in the north est of Italy, in La Spezia, on the Mediterranean coast. It is really close to France and Switzerland. It is located just after Genova and before Tuscany. The Cinque Terre is composed of 5 villages located for most of them in beautiful coves. These 5 villages, build in the hills, by their charm and beauty, belongs to the UNESCO heritage.

There are Riomaggiore, Manarola, Monterosso al Mare, Vernazza, and Corniglia. Each of them is surprisingly different from each other. 3. Venice

Is Venice the most romantic city of all time? I would say yes! If you have always been dreaming to visit Venice, you should do it! You will be blown away by the beauty and the charm of this city. 4. Positano

Is Positano worth the hype? This a question I often see. This city has become really famous for a few years and prices went crazy! If you want to stay inside Positano it is really expensive. But Positano is a must to see! This colorful village built in the hills is really special. You should go there one day. You can walk in the little colorful streets, eat the best pizza and enjoy the beautiful beaches. Also, if you find yourself in Positano, you can also do a boat tour for the sunset it really is magical.

5. Saturnia

The small town of Saturnia is located in the countryside of Tuscany. It is one of the best places to visit in Italy. You can visit the beautiful cascade di Saturnia there. This cascade is absolutely incredible and is totally natural, it has never been touched by humans. It is even more beautiful in reality. If you have never been there you should definitely add this place to your bucket list!

Also, you need to know that the water is also naturally warmed at 37,5 degrees celsius by the volcanic crater near the cascade. Also, this place is really crowded during the day, if you want to visit this place, you should come early in the morning. 6. The Dolomites

The Dolomites are without doubts one of the most beautiful and wild places in Italy. If you like mountains, lakes, and hiking, you will love the Dolomites! You should visit the beautiful Lago di Sorapis which is our favorite lake in the Dolomites. The 13km hiking is beautiful and if you come early in the morning, you will have the lake all to yourself!

Also, you can visit the famous Lago di braies, Lago di Carrezza, Santa Magdalena and Alpe di Siusi.

7. Florence

If you are visiting Tuscany, you need to visit Florence! It is safe to say that it is one of the most beautiful cities in Italy. The best places to visit are the Cathedral, (you can climb the Duomo as well), Ponte Vecchio, Uffizi Gallery, and Palazzo Vecchio. If you have just one day in Florence, stroll the old town, check out the market, and walk to Piazzale Michelangelo for the best view in Florence.

8. Siena

Then, you should visit Siena, which is a beautiful place in Tuscany. You can visit the Val d’Orcia that is absolutely stunning. The landscape is so picturesque. You can easily recognize the Tuscany trees along the way.
