Hey beautiful people! Hope you are well! Today let’s talk about the most beautiful spots in Santorini! We have been to Santorini recently with my friend Charlotte (@luluescape) and it was an amazing trip. We have met two amazing and adorable Italian travel bloggers, Donato and Giulia ( from @dgtravel) and we have spent all our stay with them! It was amazing to meet new friends there and we had so much fun together. It was my second time there, I was there last year with my boyfriend J-e. I love this island so much that I could go there every year! In September the weather is still good, so you can enjoy the pool and there are fewer people than in the high season. I think that the best period is May/June or September. Have you seen all the photos of our trip on Instagram?
Today I’ll tell you everything about our amazing friends-trip and what are the most beautiful spots in Santorini! Are you ready?!!
The beautiful Oia
Oia is a famous pretty village located in the north of the island. You can go there easily from your hotel by bus, rent a quad or take a taxi. Oia is one of the most beautiful places to visit in Santorini. Indeed, there are many beautiful famous spots that you have probably seen on Instagram! There are beautiful churches, blue domes, the famous orange wall or the sunset point of view! But also cute and traditional restaurants!
But you need to know that Oia is really small! You can visit the city in one afternoon and all the spots are easy to find. In addition, you also have to know that there are many people even in the low season and the streets are really small, so the streets are crowded and you have to wait a lot to take photos. But, you can stay in a hotel in Oia and wake up early to avoid the crowd! That’s what we have done with Charlotte the two last nights.
The sunset point is one of my favorites places in Oia. There is an amazing viewpoint on all the city. And when the sun sets, the landscapes become magical and the pastel colors appear!
The best hotels in Santorini
The Cavo Tagoo Santorini
So we stayed at the magical Cavo Tagoo Santorini, perfectly located between Imerovigli and Thira. This hotel is so minimalist and luxurious, it was so beautiful, seriously one of the most beautiful hotels where I have ever been. When we arrived we immediately saw the amazing infinity pool with the view on the Aegan sea and the Volcano! And then we went to our beautiful room. We had a private terrasse with a hot jacuzzi and a view on the sea. The decoration of the room was really minimalist and chic, there were everything we needed. Moreover, the main pool is perfectly located in front of the sunset. We had the chance to watch absolutely gorgeous sunsets there!
Also, the restaurant is amazing. It’s located near the main pool and the decoration is really modern. They have vegetarian choices and it was seriously delicious! I tried the Greek salad and some pasta and it was really good. Also, we had breakfast by the pool every morning and it was so perfect. There were everything we can imagine: croissants, fruits, pancakes, orange juices, coffee and so on! Moreover, the Staff at Cavo Tagoo was so kind! They even helped us to take photos lol. This hotel is flawless, I definitively recommend to stay there!
VIP suites Oia
We had a last-minute booking at VIP suites Oia, which is a cute traditional cave hotel. It was really pretty, we had even a hot jacuzzi with the view on Oia. Also, it was really cheap, 120€ for one night in the heart of Oia. There are many hotels like this one. Further, I can recommend you my favorite restaurant in Oia, Candouni. There is a cute terrasse with musicians playing Greek music. So you can have dinner outside and hear the music. The ambiance is magical. The typical greek food is to die for and the staff is adorable. If you like Greek food and local white wine you will love it! Then, if you want to admire the beautiful sunsets with the view on Oia at the sunset point go there 30 min before!
In conclusion, I could say that we had an amazing stay and we had so much fun together! Santorini will always be one of my favorite destinations and I would definitely recommend you to go there at least one time!
